Presented by: Civic Art Program
The Encinitas Library has on view the artwork of many Encinitas artists. Their work is on long-term loan to the library: Alex Long, Roy Soravia and Rodney McCoubrey. The Special Collection room features an exhibit by Robert Wald.
The artists are experts in their craft: Long is an accomplished potter specializing in Raku, Soravia was a highly regarded Op Art artist, and McCoubrey is a master at turning recycled trash into whimsical works of ocean-themed art.
Robert Wald's photo-essay exhibit, Lost Heritage: The Dorymen of Cardiff, offers a glimpse into the fishing industry that was part of the history of Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
